Guiding You Toward Empowerment

and Self-Improvement

Wells County, Indiana

Bettering the Community With Life Skills Coaching

Renew your life and create strong connections with the people around you by turning to Rebuilding Lives, Inc. We are a nonprofit organization committed to providing guidance, helping others achieve empowerment, and improving the lives of the people who come to us for help.

Our team consults with families and individuals in Wells County and surrounding counties in Indiana in identifying, setting, and working toward their goals to create lifestyle changes. Through individual life skills coaching, we aim to develop and maintain an effective coaching plan with each client.

Once clients have identified a vision founded on their core values and assessed what it would take to see it fulfilled, we can break it down into manageable goals. The objective of life skills coaching is to continually give all the power back to the client.

Our three-tier approach to life skill consultation:

  • Provide guidance through needs assessment, use evidence-based life coaching techniques, and offer tools and support for someone to broaden their perspective and open their mind, enabling them to accomplish their goals
  • Empower the individual to realize their self-worth and self-belief that have, for one reason or another, diminished
  • Improve lifestyle decisions so the individual can go from where they are to where they want to be and, ultimately, reach their goals.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to build a community where all people have a pathway to opportunities that guide and enrich their lives, and to provide guidance, empowerment and effect improvement in the lives of the people who come to us for help.

Vision Statement:

Our vision is to strengthen and encourage every individual to achieve their fullest potential and live life in all its fullness.

    Campaign of Hope 2024

The Red Cardinal is Indiana's state bird. Native Americans believe that this noble and vibrant red bird has the power to protect and guide individuals on their spiritual journeys. Some believe an appearance of this red bird can signal impending change or transition. I myself associate the red cardinal as a spiritual messenger from Heaven and representing the blood of Jesus as a gift of love for Hope and New Beginnings.

I Corinthians 13:13 is a favorite of mine, "There are three things that remain – faith, hope, and love – and the greatest of these is love."  With respect to the Apostle Paul about the power of love, I find myself thinking about Hope this year as we close 2023.

Hope is part of the holidays. Hope for peace in the world as well as our homes. Hope for pleasant and memorable times with those we love and fond but bittersweet memories of those no longer here to share our joy of the season. This holiday season is especially hopeful for me as Rebuilding Lives, Inc celebrates its fourth year serving God and our community and I am grateful for all its challenges and successes.

Faith, hope, and love are intertwined in our professional and personal life. I was reminded of the day I made the long drive home from seeing a lifelong friend and colleague not knowing I would be saying goodbye to her for the last time.  She shared that she was no longer in remission and her Cancer had returned. We spoke of our longtime friendship and deep affection for one another and spoke of the good times together with our colleagues and families. Before leaving we prayed together for another miracle that would change the outcome. Hope was definitely on my mind as I drove back, spurred by a few small statements she made: “I know this is part of a plan greater than mine” and “I can do anything with God beside me.”

Throughout her trials, my friend forged ahead and made every day count. She gave us all Hope. She embraced her family and friends giving us courage to walk the journey with her for what was to come. Her love and unwavering faith and humility was a true testament to a life well lived through Hope.  HOPE is that sliver of light in the darkness that gives us the strength to believe and accept change as a gift of love.

We live faith, hope, and love in our personal and professional lives. Our faith is in people and the belief they can choose another path, and a must, if change is to happen and be sustained. We express love not as pressure to change, but as acceptance of the person who is suffering and deserving of compassion just as they are, not as we want or wish for them to be.

And Hope? It is SPECIAL. It is something that we all need because we are all human. It’s the belief that even in the direst of circumstances, people do change and ULTIMATELY people change us, sometimes miraculously. We must nurture and grow that compassion for ourselves, so we can loan it to children and families when they need it.

As we look to 2024, may we all grow in faith and compassion as we aspire to be the Cardinal of HOPE! You have all miraculously changed my life for the better. I thank you and am humbled and grateful for each of you. Wishing all my community partners, clients, friends and family a wonderful, hope-filled holiday!

Love and Blessings...Tina
